My Master’s Recital scheduled for March 14

My master's recital, the culmination of my work at Tulane University, will take place on March 14th at 7pm in the Dixon Recital Hall in New Orleans, LA. Featuring the Jesse McBride Trio and members of the Louisiana Symphony Orchestra, this concert will showcase the music that I have composed during my two years in New Orleans.

Some of the highlights of the concert will include:

  • String Quartet No. 3 - World Premiere
  • Pacifico - World Premiere
  • (non)singularity - Louisiana Premiere
  • Piece for Solo Clarinet

(non)singularity to be performed at LaTex 2009

My new composition, (non)singularity will be performed at LaTex 2009 in College Station, TX on November 14, 2009.

Thie piece is for electronics and features 82 audio samples being randomly distributed across eight channels and four speakers. Based on Cagian philosophies, (non)singularity will provide different listening experiences depending on a listener's location in the listening space and their personal attachments to music.

Welcome to the New “Such Sweet Thunder”

As many of you know it's been a crazy three months. But amongst all the bad news, there is one good thing to announce - the launch of the new Such Sweet Thunder. My new site will allow you to not only hear my recordings, but also see my upcoming events and learn more about my musical philosophy.

Also check out a new recording of "The Space Between" by Emmanuel Schvartzman in the recordings section. The piece debuted in Miami this past May.

The Spaces Between to be performed in May

The Spaces Between is on the program for "A Night of New Music." The world premiere of this piece will be performed by Emmanuel Schvartzman.
